DIY Websites

My semester from school just ended and now, I have 3 weeks off from school. It’s only day 2 of my 3-week-vacation and I just really want this vacation to be a not-so-boring one. Since I don’t want to spend the next 3 weeks wasting my time in front of the computer alone, I’ve decided to research on some DIY projects that I could do during my vacation. I know there are a lot of websites that provide DIY projects, but I know what you’re thinking. If you’re just a student (without allowance because there’s no class like me), those DIY projects seem to be a bit pricey with all the materials needed, right? So I tried and tried searching for DIY projects that are not so expensive and requires materials that you can easily find in your home.

Now, the purpose of this blog is not to give you a tutorial of a DIY project that is cheap, but provide you a list of the websites I found with very interesting DIY projects/crafts which also your wallet can handle.

Here’s a list of blogs/websites that I’ve stumbled upon looking for some cheap and affordable DIY projects:

1. GwennyPenny.Com - The website’s owner is Gwen and she is a full-time mother of two beautiful girls. She loves her family so much, but she doesn’t want to lose her sense of self while taking care of her family so she decided to put up this website and share her craftiness and creativity to the other crafty people (or trying-hard-crafty-person like me!).

 2. RuthBeakley.Com - Ruth Beakley is a woman who is very fond of crafts. She does all of her crafts with her own hands, and she is very fond of bookbinding. In fact, she teaches bookbinding classes in their local place and you can even sign up for her newsletter if you’re interested!

 3. OhCrafts.Net - Oh! Crafts is an affiliate website of Oh! Ideas which offers a lot of inspirations for your upcoming events, activities, gifts, and baking needs. Oh! Crafts provide its readers several DIY projects that does not require expensive materials and they’re all easy to make, too!

 4. Poppytalk.Blogspot.Com - Poppytalk is a design blog based in Vancouver and is founded by Jan and Earl who are both working in the design field. A quick fact about them: Jan and Earl are husband and wife! What a lovely way to bond with your spouse, right? Also, Poppytalk has been featured on several magazines over the years, so you can be rest assured that their crafts are geniusly-made!

Now, these are just a few of the websites that provide us DIY projects, but I can assure you that their projects are affordable and easy to do! Also, if you want to search for more websites, you can search on Google. I have also searched on Tumblr and here’s what I got.

Do you have any DIY-websites to share? Leave a comment!
